Chad Sitze was born in Jackson, MO

Chad is the eldest of three brothers.  Every since Chad
was knee high his mother “Candy” taught him how to sing,
and sing they did, every time the church doors were open.

At seven, Chad’s father “Denny” taught him how to play
the bass guitar.  Shortly thereafter Chad learned three
chords on his Dad’s old six string guitar.

At 13, Chad’s Grandpa suggested that he learn to play the
banjo.  Without hesitation Chad picked up the banjo. After
months of practicing, late night picking, and jam sessions,
Chad and his family “The Sitze Family” began playing at
numerous bluegrass festivals.  Their performances were a
sensation and this gave them the opportunity to play at
Dollywood, Silver Dollar City, and numerous churches,
fairs and festivals.

At 14, He and his middle brother, Dennijo entered the
school talent show and received 1st place.  Two days later
Chad and his brother were called to the Superintendent’s
office.   He said, I really don’t know how to say this
because I’ve never done this nor have I heard of any
Superintendent doing any thing like this but due to the
response that you boys got the other day at the talent
show we’ve been bombarded with requests that you boys
put on a concert for the school.  I’m going to let school out
early and gather all the students into the auditorium so you
boys can give us a concert.  Chad and his brother dazzled
em and left a mark at the Fredericktown High school in 93’.

After Graduating from High school Chad and his brother
received music scholarships to South Plains College in
Level land, Texas.

Shortly thereafter Chad and his brother started a
bluegrass band of there own.  They called themselves
“Smokin Grass.”  During their time in Texas they took their
unique sound to various coffee shops, bars and pubs.

Chad now lives in Nashville, TN where He and his brothers
continue pursuing their music career.  He spends most of
his time writing music and performing.

Musical influences: Bob Dylan, Bob Seger, Alabama, New
Grass Revival, Marshall Tucker Band, Charlie Daniels, Bill
Monroe and Johnny Cash.
